Zimmer Dental Extends Renowned Implant Line with Crestal Options
Zimmer Dental Inc., a leading provider of dental oral rehabilitation products and

of its renowned Tapered Screw-Vent® Implant family: the
Tapered Screw-Vent Implant with full texturing and crestal microgrooves—designed
to create favorable conditions for marginal bone preservation and optimal clinical
outcomes.
Built with the clinician in mind, this new implant is fully compatible with the
Tapered Screw-Vent Surgical Kit, surgical protocols, and prosthetic components.
The Tapered Screw-Vent Implant with full texturing and crestal microgrooves
extends the MTX® surface texturing to the top of the implant,
maximizing surface area for bone-to-implant contact and includes crestal microgrooves
on the collar of the implant, designed to create favorable conditions for marginal
bone-level maintenance. Preservation of marginal bone is a key factor in positive
patient outcomes and esthetic results.
The Tapered Screw-Vent Implant with full texturing and crestal microgrooves
also leverages Zimmer Dental’s proprietary Platform PlusTMTechnology.
This proprietary technology creates favorable conditions for bone-level maintenance,
while the internal hex, friction-fit connection shields both the abutment screw
and crestal bone from concentrated occlusal forces. The lead-in bevel reduces horizontal
stresses more effectively than flat “butt-joint” connections, and the 1.5mm deep
internal hex distributes bite force deep into the implant.
