Zimmer® One-Piece Implant Joins the Tapered Screw-Vent® Implant System

Zimmer Dental Inc., a leading provider of dental oral rehabilitation products and a subsidiary of Zimmer Holdings, Inc., is pleased to announce the launch of the Zimmer® One-Piece Implant, the latest edition to the Tapered Screw-Vent® Implant System – a complete and integrated family of implants, abutments and copings. The Tapered Screw-Vent Implant System includes the new Zimmer One-Piece Implant, the Tapered Screw-Vent and Advent® Implants, and the Hex-Lock® Abutment (which includes a variety of caps and copings). The addition of a One-Piece Implant to this impressive family of products will present clinicians with a one-piece implant option with a minimum number of surgical and prosthetic components, thereby offering an impressive esthetic design and time-saving opportunity for surgeons, restorative health care professionals, and patients. It will also offer clinicians with the versatility of deciding at the time of surgery whether to use a two-piece or a one-piece implant.

Available in both a 3.0mm and 3.7mm implant diameter, constructed in titanium and multi-threaded to allow for maximum strength and stability, the new Zimmer One-Piece Implant will be appropriate for use in the anterior mandible, where superior esthetics are essential. The One-Piece Implant is available with a contoured, straight or angled abutment needing minimal modification for better esthetics and eliminating the need to inventory abutment components, simplifying the implant placement and restoration for the clinician and laboratory. Provisionalization allows soft tissue concerns to be addressed at the time of surgical placement.

Zimmer Dental believes the new Zimmer One-Piece Implant will be of the utmost benefit to patients.
